Child Safety & Secure Civic Engagement

At Free Speech, Inc., we are committed to providing a safe and secure platform for all users. We take child safety extremely seriously and maintain a zero-tolerance policy for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

Although the Free Speech app is intended for adults (18+), we still follow strict child safety standards to prevent, detect, remove, and report any CSAE- or CSAM-related activity on our platform.

1. Definitions

For the purposes of this policy:

  • Child means any person under 18 years of age, or under the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
  • Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) includes any act or content that sexually abuses or exploits a child. This includes grooming, sexual harassment of or by minors, solicitation of sexual acts, sexual extortion (“sextortion”), trafficking of children for sexual purposes, or any behavior that sexualizes a child for adult benefit.
  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) means any content that depicts or involves a child in a sexually explicit situation. CSAM can include photos, videos, live streams, chat messages, illustrations, or any other material that shows or promotes sexual abuse or exploitation of a child.

CSAM is illegal and strictly prohibited on Free Speech.

2. Zero Tolerance for CSAE and CSAM

Free Speech, Inc. strictly prohibits any content or behavior that involves or promotes CSAE or CSAM. This includes, but is not limited to:When you create an account or use the App,we may collect:

  • Creating, uploading, posting, or sharing CSAM.
  • Requesting, soliciting, or attempting to obtain CSAM.
  • Grooming or attempting to groom a child, online or offline.
  • Sexualizing or exploiting children in any format (text, images, audio, or video).
  • Using the Free Speech app to seek contact with children for any exploitative, abusive, or harmful purpose.

Any account found to be involved in CSAE or CSAM will be immediately suspended or permanently banned and may be reported to law enforcement and/or relevant authorities.

3. User Reporting & In-App Feedback

We rely on our community to help keep Free Speech safe. Users can report abusive or suspicious content or behavior in several ways:We process your data based on:

  • In-app reporting tools – Within the Free Speech app, users can report content, polls, comments, or accounts they believe may violate this policy (including CSAE or CSAM) using built-in “Report,” “Flag,” or similar options where available.
  • In-app feedback/contact options – Users can also submit feedback or concerns via in-app “Help,” “Support,” or “Send Feedback” features.
  • Email – Users may email us directly with concerns about CSAE, CSAM, or other child safety issues at info@thefreespeechapp.com or support@thefreespeechapp.com.

All reports related to child safety are treated with urgency.

4. How We Respond to CSAE and CSAM

When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAE or CSAM on Free Speech, we take appropriate action, which may include:

  • Immediate Content Removal
    - Promptly disabling access to, or removing, reported or detected content that appears to involve CSAE or CSAM.
  • Account Actions
    - Temporarily restricting, suspending, or permanently banning accounts or devices involved in CSAE or CSAM.
  • Preservation of Evidence
    - Preserving relevant information (for example, content, timestamps, IP addresses, and related metadata) as permitted or required by law to support investigations by appropriate authorities.
  • Reporting to Authorities
    - Reporting confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States or to another appropriate regional authority where required or permitted by applicable law.
    - Cooperating with law enforcement and regulators as necessary to protect children and enforce the law.

5. Compliance with Child Safety Laws

Free Speech, Inc. complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where we operate. This includes:

  • Maintaining internal processes to review child-safety-related reports and to escalate confirmed CSAM cases to NCMEC (in the United States) or the relevant regional authority.
  • Cooperating with law enforcement, government agencies, and industry partners, as appropriate, to prevent, detect, and combat CSAE and CSAM online.
  • Periodically reviewing and updating our standards and procedures to stay aligned with evolving legal requirements and industry best practices, including guidance from trusted organizations focused on combating online child sexual abuse and exploitation.

6. Eligibility Reminder

The Free Speech app is intended for use by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly permit children to use the service. If we become aware that a child is using the app, we will take appropriate steps, which may include disabling the account and, where necessary, reporting to the appropriate authorities.

7. Child Safety Point of Contact

Free Speech, Inc. has a designated contact to receive potential notifications from Google Play and other partners about CSAE or CSAM content found in our app or on our platform. This representative is positioned to speak to our enforcement and review procedures and to take action where required.
